People interested in rowing got to find out how to get started and learn the basics Saturday at the Albany Rowing Center’s open house.

The organization offers both recreational and competitive rowing for children and adults.

The president of the center says no matter how old you are, it’s never a bad time to get into rowing.

“It’s a sport you can learn to do at any age, so for all the people who might learn when you’re kids, you can learn in your 50s, 60s, 70s and pick it up pretty quick,” said Rebecca Clark.
