Albany, Warren County health officials urge vaccinations amid new COVID deaths

County health officials in the Capital Region are once again urging people to get vaccinated.

Warren County reports a person in their 70s has died from the virus. The person was not vaccinated.

In Warren County alone, there are 18 people who are hospitalized. Thirteen of them are not vaccinated, and health officials say all the people who are in critical condition are unvaccinated.

Meanwhile, Albany County says a man in his 80s has died from the virus. That bring the pandemic death toll to 453 in the county.

There are 44 people hospitalized in that county – a net increase of two.
