Albany woman accused of stealing from Stratton V.A. Medical Center

An Albany woman is accused of stealing from the Albany-Stratton V.A. Medical Center.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 42-year-old Jamie Varieur stole from the Fisher House- a home on V.A. property where military and veteran families can stay while a loved one is in the hospital.
The alleged incident happened in August of 2021.
Prosecutors say, she broke into the home and stole a number of items from the kitchen.
She faces up to 15 years in prison if she is convicted.
