Things are getting back to normal at three Ballston Spa schools, after a lockdown Thursday morning.

A message on the school district’s website said Wood Road, Milton Terrance and Gordon Green went into lockdown around 9 a.m. after someone heard fireworks nearby.

This caused a disruption for morning drop-off routines. Students inside were told to shelter in place, while those still not at school stayed on school busses and were redirected for a time.

Police checked and cleared the buildings. An investigation determined the sound came from a tournament at a nearby golf course.
