Amtrak to start service from NYC to Pittsfield in July

People will soon be able to take the train from New York City to Pittsfield.
NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle report the Berkshire Flyer will provide limited train trips starting July 8.
The paper reports the service will leave Penn Station Friday at 3:15 p.m. The Sunday return trip will leave Pittsfield at 3 p.m.
The hope is to attract more tourists to the Berkshires.
