A man led the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and multiple other agencies on a chase throughout the town of Halfmoon, eventually ending in the town park.

The sheriff’s office says they received complaints by several businesses Monday night, complaining that an individual was acting erratically, such as not paying for merchandise and causing damage to merchandise.

When deputies made first contact with the suspect, he fled in his car and began to lead deputies on a slow speed pursuit.

The suspect drove through Halfmoon Crossing, onto Route 9 and then onto State Route 146, eventually driving into Halfmoon Town Park.

With the help of state police and the Mechanicville Police Department, the suspect was contained and stopped inside the park.

The suspect resisted while being removed from his car, causing minor injuries to two officers and himself.

Charges are currently pending and the suspect’s identity is to be released at a later date.
