Arrest made in Berkshire County homicide

An arrest has been made in connection with a homicide in Berkshire County.

Police in Lewiston, New York took 36-year-old William Gingerich into custody on Thursday.

He’s accused of killing 71-year-old Dennis Bernardi.

Authorities found the victim’s body at an address on middle road in Clarksburg Wednesday morning.

Gingerich will be charged with murder and kidnapping when he’s brought back to Berkshire County to be arraigned.
