TROY – Some elementary school students will be looking their best for the upcoming holidays. At School 2 in Troy, students got free haircuts thanks to some local barbers.
My Brother’s Keeper, a mentor program in the district, sponsored the cuts for the holidays.
Two barbers went to the school Monday morning, and nearly a dozen students signed up for the cuts.
The school is hoping to make this an annual event.
Learn why and how one barber says it may do more than just boost the kids’ confidence and self-esteem, by watching the video of Emily De Vito’s story.
