Movie theaters in New York are now allowed to sell beer and wine at concession stands.

The New York State Liquor Authority approved the measure.

Theaters previously either had to sell it and have people drink it in a designated area, or have servers deliver to tables inside the theater.

Theaters that don’t have a license for beer and wine sales will now have to apply for a liquor license.
