Bicyclist killed in Colonie accident

Colonie police say a bicyclist who crashed with a car has now died.

They say 39-year-old Jeremy Williams died at Albany Medical Center.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on Central Avenue at the Northway southbound ramp. Police say Williams rode a bicycle into the street in front of a car as it was entering onto the highway, and was knocked off the bike.

The driver immediately stopped and called 911. They were not hurt.

Police say Williams did not have reflective clothing, was not in a crosswalk, and didn’t have a helmet.
