Black Friday shoppers pack Crossgates Mall

GUILDERLAND – Crossgates Mall in Guilderland was packed on Black Friday.

There were long lines at many of the stores.

People NewsChannel 13 spoke with say they are happy to do some shopping. With the pandemic changing things last year, shoppers were happy to have a sense of normalcy again.

"We had some wonderful conversations and the salespeople are really nice, nobody’s bumping into each other, and I think people are happy to be around other people," said Dedra Berrios, a shopper from Oneonta.

The mall was set to be open until 9 p.m.
