Boil water advisory issued after Troy water main break
Repairs were underway in Troy, after a water main break in the area of Northern Drive between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue on Monday.[WNYT]
TROY – A boil water advisory has been issued after a water main break in Troy.
Northern Drive between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue is closed. If that’s an area you drive through, the city has asked you to use the detour through Cemetery Road and Gurley Avenue.
The city says customers in the following areas are affected by a boil water advisory:
- 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th Avenues
- M, N, O and R Streets
- Corliss Park Apartments (Troy Housing Authority)
They also say any customers who lost water pressure are affected by the advisory.
If you’re in the affected area, bring water to a boil for one minute before drinking or cooking. Let it cool before using.
Repairs were expected to last into at least the evening commute.
