Boy, 12, charged in connection with bomb threat at Albany school

ALBANY – A 12-year-old student at Hackett Middle School in Albany has been arrested.
Police say using an online messaging app, the boy encouraged someone else to phone in a bomb threat to the school around 1 p.m. Friday.
Police searched the building and didn’t find anything.
The boy is charged with conspiracy and due in Albany County Family Court in October.
