Boy, 14, facing charges in Thursday’s Albany High incident

ALBANY – The 14-year-old suspect in Thursday’s incident at Albany High School is now charged with second and third-degree assault, as well as criminal possession of a weapon.

Police tell NewsChannel 13 it started as a fight between two students.

A hall monitor who tried to break it up suffered a concussion and a minor cut.

The other student was also taken to Albany Medical Center with minor injuries.

The school was put on lockdown and students were learning remotely on Friday.
