Cannabis company partnering with FMCC to train students for jobs

The company going into the old BeechNut plant in Canajoharie won’t just be creating local jobs in the cannabis industry – it will help train students who want those jobs.

The name of the company moving into the plant is E29 – for Exit 29 – the Canajoharie exit. They will cultivate and manufacture recreational marijuana.

It’s a community that’s been waiting for something to start happening here again.

Company leaders partnered with Fulton-Montgomery Community College on a program designed to help students reach new highs.

The cannabis industry employs scientists, lab techs, horticulturalists – and even specialized lawyers, accountants and mechanics.
