The Capital Pride Parade & Festival returns this weekend in Albany.

The incredibly popular annual event has been on hold since 2019.

Organizers say attendance before COVID was more than 25,000 people and it’s the largest Pride celebration in the northeast, outside of New York City and Boston.

Proceeds from the event benefit the programs and services at the Pride Center of The Capital Region and raise awareness for LGBTQ+ issues.

The event goes from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday in Washington Park.
