Celebrating Juneteenth in Troy

There were several Juneteenth events taking place in the Capital Region Saturday. The Troy NAACP teamed up with the Troy Coalition of Black Leaders for the event. There was singing and dancing. The Blazing Diamond Dancers, a local dance group performed as well. There were also a couple local drummers who played some traditional African Rhythms.

Juneteenth is now a federal holiday. Organizers are hoping they people can work to keep the history alive.
