National Grid is stepping up to support a unique project at the Westland Hills baseball and softball league in Albany.

National Grid covered the cost of 100 Christmas trees for the "Our Angels Remembered" holiday tree lighting program. The trees were put in the park between Central and Washington Avenues in Albany. Local families can sponsor trees in memory of a lost loved one.

All the money raised will go to league programming and continuing the tree program next year. The trees will be lit from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. through January 1st.
