Coats handed out to kids in Albany

ALBANY – After a successful coat drive in Albany, the winter gear was passed out to kids.

The coats were distributed at Pine Hills Elementary School on North Allen Street in Albany. That includes 1,500 coats and more than 3,500 hats, gloves and scarves.

This is the 14th year of the program.

One of the coordinators says the supply shortages made this year’s effort challenging.
