With the colder weather in the Capital Region, the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society is calling the first Code Blue alert of the season in Albany.

A Code Blue is issued when temperatures are 32 degrees or less, including wind chill.

People who are homeless in Albany County can go to the Capital City Rescue Mission at 259 South Pearl St. or the Emergency Overflow Shelter at 646 State St.

The Code Blue is in effect through Friday.
