Colonie police investigating crash between pedestrian and vehicle

Colonie police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

Police said at about 7:30 p.m. Christmas Day, a pedestrian was trying to cross State Route 2 near Best Ave. outside a crosswalk. Police said that’s when a Toyota sedan hit the person. The driver turned around, called 911 and stayed with the patient until Emergency Personnel arrived.

Police said the patient was transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital in serious condition.
