Columbia County man’s death ruled homicide

ELIZAVILLE – New York State Police have confirmed the death of a man in Columbia County is now being investigated as a homicide.
The body of Ed Kessler was found Feb. 7 inside a home he’d rented in Elizaville.
According to the Times Union, Kessler was from Long Island and had been dead for a couple of days before his body was found.
The Times Union reports Kessler was in his mid-60s and had been strangled.
