As Tropical Depression Henri moved through New England, some welcomed the storm into their lives.

Caitlin and Benjamin Place got married Sunday and were celebrating in Schodack Island State Park when then Tropical Storm Henri started raining down.

“I mean, rain is good luck,” Caitlin Place said. “That’s what they say.”

NewsChannel 13 Anchor/Reporter Rachel Tiede caught up with the couple as they finished taking their wedding photos in the downpour.

Place said some of her guests worried about attending, due to Flood Watches and Flood Advisories.

“I was just like it, ‘Is what it is, and we’re here for it,’” Place said. “It’s a party; let’s party.”

The flower girl, ring bearer, and the rest of the children in attendance — dressed in their wedding best –appeared to have a blast on the playground during the deluge.

That’s something the Places seemed happy about.

“Just go dance in the rain, sometimes,” Caitlin Place said. “That’s all you have to do; just go dance in the rain.”
