In another sign that the delta variant is having a real impact on our lives, a mistrial has been declared in a Saratoga County rape trial.

The trial was supposed to take place this week, but the court couldn’t find enough jurors as several dozen identified fear of getting COVID as a hardship excuse, even though the judge required everyone to be masked, even if vaccinated.

The CDC lists Saratoga County as an area of high transmission of COVID.
