New concerns surrounding covid: Albany County is reporting its highest covid hospitalization rate since mid-February.

There were 14 new hospitalizations since Thursday.

35 new hospitalizations since Tuesday’s update.

In total, there are 52 people currently hospitalized.

Four of them are in intensive care.

County Executive Dan McCoy said the numbers are concerning.

There are 265 new covid-19 cases in the county.

The seven-day average is now up to 211.

Widespread use of at-home tests prompted health leaders to focus on hospitalizations and deaths over positivity rates in recent weeks.

If you do test positive using a home test, you can report that online.
