Crews have completed repairs on a water main break in South Troy.

The break happened Monday on 1st Street, between Van Buren Street and Tyler Street.

The city says repairs were completed overnight, and water service is being restored to customers that were impacted.

A boil water is in effect for people living in Troy who lost water pressure because of Monday’s main break. The Rensselaer County Health Department has also issued a boil water order for residents on the public water system in the town of East Greenbush, the city of Rensselaer, and the village of Menands.

The state provided a water tanker to provide drinking water to people living in the community who have been impacted. It’s parked near School 12 and people need to provide their own bottles or containers.
