Cuomo announces state has record low COVID positivity for second straight day

Gov. Cuomo said the state set new record COVID lows for a second straight day.

In the latest numbers released Friday, Cuomo says the daily positivity rate was 0.42%.

The 7-day average is 0.56%, which is two straight months of decline, and the lowest positivity rate in the country.

There are 916 people hospitalized, a decrease of 54.

Sadly, another 15 people died.

The 7-day positivity rate in the Capital Region dropped from 0.75% on Wednesday to 0.65% on Thursday.

The 7-day positivity rate in the Mohawk Valley rose from 0.79% on Wednesday to 0.80% on Wednesday.
