Deadly Montgomery County crash under investigation

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of a deadly crash.
They say it happened Wednesday around 2:30 on Route 5S in the town of Root. Deputies say two cars crashed and the driver of one car — 62-year-old Thomas May of Canajoharie — was pronounced dead on the scene.
The other driver was treated for minor injuries. Police say that driver is cooperating with the investigation.
