Discover Saratoga working to drum up in-person meetings

Thursday, April 7 is "Global Meetings Industry Day" and Discover Saratoga is reminding us of the economic value of having in-person business meetings, trade shows, conferences and conventions.

Professional Meetings and Events accounted for 42% of all business travel spending and 11% of all travel spending in the U.S. prior to the pandemic and directly supported:

• 800,000 American jobs
• $42 billion in employee payroll
• $19 billion in federal, state, and local tax receipts.

Discover Saratoga, a key economic development engine for Saratoga County, drives millions of tourism and event dollars into our local economy each year.

In 2019, Discover Saratoga worked with 592 groups who generated 98,765 room nights with an estimated annual economic impact of $65.6 million.

Discover Saratoga’s group market was responsible for 1 of every 5 room nights booked in the city.
