A judge in Saratoga Springs has dropped a charge of disorderly conduct filed against Alexis Figuereo.

The activist and a leader of Black Lives Matter took part in a protest in Congress Park last July.

The group of protesters moved to Broadway, where they blocked traffic, leading to several arrests.

Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen requested the charge against Figuereo be dropped, because she said her prosecution might interfere with a civil rights investigation by the State Attorney General’s Office.
