Dog rescued from Berkshire County mountain

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – A dog was saved from Monument Mountain in the Berkshires last week.

The Great Barrington Fire Department was called when a dog fell off the cliff at the top of the mountain.

The fire department’s Technical Rescue Team hiked to the summit and found Luna the dog on a ledge. They rigged a rope system to lower a rescuer over the ledge, then pulled the rescuer and dog back up.

No one was hurt.
