Downtown Schenectady Soup Stroll has samples from dozens of restaurants

SCHENECTADY – The Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation invites you to bundle up and enjoy delicious hot soups from 29 local restaurants, all for $1 per sample.

The Downtown Schenectady Soup Stroll runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26.

You’ll be able to taste chowders, chilis and soups as well as try different international soup flavors all without leaving downtown.

Plus, you’ll find something for every dietary need as some soups are gluten free, vegetarian and vegan.

"We love the Schenectady Soup Stroll every year. It gives us a chance to meet with our customers with warm soup and warm hearts," said Maria Papa with More Perreca’s.

Be sure to vote for your favorite soups at ballot boxes around town. Print out a map at downtownschenectady.org or pick one up at any participating restaurant.

Then, have each place you visit check off that you were there, and be sure to place your ballot into one of the four ballot boxes by 4:15. You must visit at least 10 restaurants for your vote to count.
