The bird is cooked, and it’s time to start delivering the thousands of meals prepared for the annual Equinox dinner.

Like last year, restaurants and catering companies did the cooking in keeping with COVID guidelines.

Now it’s time for the volunteer drivers to pick up their meals and deliver them to homes across the region.

"It is so uplifting. It’s just a community celebration, by the community for the community. It just fills my heart every year," said Christine Wright, one of the volunteers.

The volunteers say it’s also a time to give back and pay the kindness forward to someone else.

The deliveries will be made to 10 towns and cities within a 60-mile radius of Albany. Equinox say they anticipate delivering 10,000 meals to neighbors in need.
