A Schenectady family’s beloved parrot has been missing for over a month and they’re pleading for help.

The family parrot, Gunther flew right out the patio doors of his home and flew out a few houses down the road and hasn’t been seen since.

Gunther is an African Grey parrot. He stands at about 14 inches. He’s grey, with bright red tail feathers.

He was last seen on March 19th. Suzanne Masci says she’s had Gunther for more than 4 years & says he never flys near the door.

He was just 8 weeks old when the family first took him in. She says he’s very social, but he wouldn’t be able to survive on his own this long. "Well if nobody found him, I’m pretty sure it’s likely that he wouldn’t have survived in the wild they don’t know how to find food, she said, but I hope he’s in someone’s home."

Gunther has been missing for 5 weeks, but the family remains optimistic. They are offering a reward for his safe return. If anyone knows anything call 518-577-6976 or 518-365-4863.
