Florida teen’s tutoring business helps give back to community

SARASOTA, Fla. – Riverview High Senior Larissa Lippe is an entrepreneur through and through.
As a high-achieving student in a program based on taking high-level college prep courses, Lippe said she could share her knowledge with others. So, she created Smart Kids Tutor, a business run by students, for students in Sarasota.
Tutors teach kids in grades K-12 across several subjects, while helping with ACT and SAT prep.
After one year as a company, it’s made more than $12,000.
Through its foundation, Smart Kids Tutor has given back some of its profits to many Sarasota County, Florida schools.
