A former GE engineer will spend two years in jail for stealing trade secrets to compete against them.

Jean Patrice Delia, 46, of Montreal was sentenced on Wednesday. He pleaded guilty in 2019.

The stolen data included trade secrets, marketing data, pricing information, and other confidential documents.

His co-defendant, Miguel Sernas of Mexico, was sentenced back in 2019 to 12 months of time served.

Both were ordered to pay $1.4 million in restitution.
