Former soccer coach in Colonie headed to prison

A former soccer coach in Colonie is heading to state prison for up to three and a half years.
Amgad Abdalla from Albany was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to a criminal sex act.
He admitted he brought one of his players who was under 17 years old to a Colonie hotel for sex.
Abdalla also faces 10 years’ probation and he must register as a sex offender.
