Former Troy City Council president facing charges in domestic dispute
Troy City Council President Rodney Wiltshire is facing charges, accused of choking his wife during a domestic dispute.

He was supposed to be in Troy City Court Monday morning. However, his appearance was postponed because all three Troy city judges recused themselves from his case.
Wiltshire is also a former candidate for mayor.
Police were called to his home on Brunswick Road late Saturday night and charged him with criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation.

According to the criminal complaint NewsChannel 13 got from the courthouse, Wiltshire is accused of grabbing his wife by the throat and throwing her on the bed.

His case has been transferred to the county to be reassigned.
