Frequent drills help Capital Region school districts prepare for emergencies

New York state requires all schools to conduct four lockdown and eight evacuation drills each school year.
NewsChannel 13 checked with a number of districts in the Capital Region, hoping to find out what they’re doing to keep your children safe.
All of the districts say they practice emergency drills. This includes fire drills, lockdowns and even lockouts.
