GANSEVOORT – Imagine the decadently, delicious smell of chocolate fudge sauce. Katie Camarro and her employees don’t have to imagine it – they make it! In fact, they’ve whipped up and labeled thousands of jars of Sundaes Best hot fudge sauce in a Gansevoort factory.

It’s no easy feat, because along with the original, it comes in lot of other flavors.

However, the recipe actually belongs to Camarro’s mother-in-law, who loaned it to her after she needed a gift to give away during the holidays.

However, her mother-in-law’s recipe wasn’t her first introduction to hot fudge sauce.

Camarro’s grandmother took her through the initiation process of how to love a great hot fudge sundae.

A look around the factory shows today, it’s truly a family affair. A member of her family occupies all the labels, and her mother-in-law’s recipe leads the way.

While this may seem small-town and grassroots, Camarro wants to go nationwide with her fudge. Her spreadable chocolate for fruit can be found in Hannaford Supermarkets.

She recently launched an online store on her website.

While profits are great, getting people to experience the joy of hot fudge on ice cream is the icing on the cake.
