GE vaccine deadline extended to January

General Electric extended the December deadline for employees to comply with the vaccine mandate.

Local union leaders confirm to NewsChannel 13 the company and union agreed to push back the deadline to January 4 for a first dose of the vaccine.

Employees will need the second dose by January 28.

Workers who don’t want to get the vaccine can resign in December to take effect by January 18.
