Georgia program helps students earn points for gifts

ATLANTA, Ga. – Thousands of Atlanta area elementary school children are learning the importance of giving to others through a very special program called Earn 2 Give.

Students earn points throughout the year and trade them in for holiday gifts to give to others.

The onset of COVID forced an abrupt halt to the live shopping day.

However, that didn’t stop the scores of Earn 2 Give volunteers.

This year at Harper Archer Elementary, they found another way.

More than 60 volunteers joined forces at the school and armed with individual tally sheets for each student, totaling the points and naming each family member, the volunteers set out to personally shop for the students.
