Get your shot and win an outdoor adventure

New York State is offering a new incentive to get people vaccinated. This goes especially for those who enjoy the outdoors. It’s called ‘Take Your Shot for an Outdoor Adventure.’

The first 2,000 New Yorkers to get their first dose of the vaccine in December are eligible to enter a sweepstakes drawing.

Five people will be randomly selected to receive one of the grand prize packages valued at approximately $2,000. Prizes include a lifetime fishing license with a kayak, vest, rod and reel, or a lifetime hunting license with a crossbow or rifle scope, a tree stand and binoculars. Birdwatchers can choose binoculars, a bird house and bird feeder and a deluxe guide to birding.

Five others will be eligible to receive second tier prizes such annual fishing and hunting licenses and equipment valued around $1,000.
