Gloversville breaks ground on $3.5 million Little League field

A ceremony was held to mark the beginning of phase one of a renovation project building Little League Baseball fields on Saturday morning.

Members of the Parker’s Field Foundation say they uncovered some of the field’s rich history.

They say the field has hosted players like Cy Young, and Moonlight Doc Graham from Field of Dreams.

That discovery made the foundation start dreaming of development.

Fulton County supervisors brought in a million dollars for the project.

The project will include turn of the century era grandstands and a brand new premier ball field. Construction starts next month.
