Gov. Cuomo announces underage drinking crackdown at summer concerts
New York state is planning to crack down on underage drinking at summer concerts.
Gov. Cuomo announced that "Operation Prevent Enforcement" sweeps will begin this week and continue throughout the summer.
The enforcement sweeps will be conducted at SPAC, CMAC in Canandaigua, Darien Lake Performing Center, Jones Beach and the Lakeview Amphitheater.
The sweeps will be carried out by state and local police, the New York State Liquor Authority, and the DMV.
People using fake IDs to buy alcohol may be arrested and have their license revoked for up to a year.
