Gov. Kathy Hochul has extended the COVID-19 emergency in New York State.

It was set to expire Wednesday night, but has been extended another month to April 15.

The governor points out this is because while cases have dropped, New York continues to see more than 100 new COVID-19 hospital admissions per day.
