Green Tech High launching new varsity e-sports team

ALBANY – Green Tech High in Albany is launching a new varsity team this fall in e-sports. They say black and brown students are underrepresented in the world of gaming and game design.
Once they complete an upgrade of their computer lab, players will be able to compete against other schools for college scholarships.
The school also plans to host a gaming convention in the spring to put a spotlight on the industry.
