Hochul announces appointments to ethics commission

The New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics was meeting on Tuesday. This comes after Gov. Hochul announced two new appointments.
Jose Nieves has been appointed to serve as chair of the commission.
Hochul also appointed Sharon Stern Gerstman.
The two appointees will be filling seats vacated by Robert Cohen and James E. Dering, who are stepping down.
The governor has said restoring trust in government is a top priority.
