Hochul: COVID hospitalizations fall below 1,000 for first time since August

There are now less than 1,000 people hospitalized with COVID in New York state.

Gov. Hochul said Friday the 978 hospitalizations are the lowest since August 4.

However, positivity rates across the state are up a bit.

The 7-day positivity rate in the state is 1.76%.

The 7-day positivity rate in the Capital Region is 2.47%.

The 7-day positivity rate in the Mohawk Valley is 3.02%.

Sadly, another 16 people died.
