Husband admits killing 22-year-old missing woman, police say

BOLTON, Vt. (AP) — The husband of a 22-year-old woman who was reported missing has told police he killed his wife in a small bus they had converted into a living and traveling space. Vermont State Police said in a news release that 41-year-old Joseph Ferlazzo told detectives Tuesday he had killed Emily Ferlazzo on Saturday in Bolton.

Police recovered a body that’s believed to be Emily Ferlazzo. An autopsy will be performed to confirm her identity and determine how she died.

Joseph Ferlazzo was arrested. He is scheduled to be arraigned on a first-degree murder charge Wednesday morning in Vermont Superior Court in Burlington.
